Nicky is a writer and artist.

Nicky is a contributing writer at the Cleveland Review of Books and a facilitator at Wendy’s Subway. They publish a Substack with Alyse Burnside called All My Dead Pitches.

As culture writer at the Texas Observer, Nicky wrote about film, art, books, Texan artists, and Texas history. Their criticism and reporting has appeared in the Brooklyn Rail, Texas Monthly, and Dissent. They authored two editions of a guidebook of Austin, their hometown, for Emons Publishing.

Nicky is an incoming Master’s student at NYU Gallatin pursuing an interdisciplinary degree in writing, film, and cultural studies. They are a Brooklyn Poets alum and participated in the 2023 Sewanee Writers’ Conference for nonfiction.
